1)      Welcome new U30 members and guests – No recent tests.  Welcome to Gary who will be going through testing process shortly and will be mentoring one of his U30 assistants as well.  Great to have you joining the team!

2)      USPTA National Update – Chuck Gill -  Chuck – Two main things to report is World Conference coming up in September in California at the Hyatt in Indian Wells.  USPTA was able to lock in an incredible, $115 room rate!  Located right next to the BNP Professional  tournament.  Please don’t wait to the cut-off date.  Other important news would have to do with USPTA’s exciting Headquarters move from Houston to Lake Nona, Florida.  Looking forward to being next to the USTA Florida section, who will also be moving to Lake Nona in the next building over.   Both building will be roughly 10,000 square feet and will be directly across from the Player Development area of the USTA Campus.   Looking forward to opening in the spring of 2016.    Continue to work hard on professional development.  Florida is doing a great job in regards to compliance of 6 credit requirement.  Florida is leading the rest of the country in regards to compliance. On one last note,   Both John Embree, (CEO of USPTA) and Chuck Gill recently returned from a USTA tennis symposium in Lake Nona,  with many other tennis organizations, in order to have a 1 and a ½  day think tank on how we  can best  use the Tennis Campus in Lake Nona. Meetings were extremely beneficial and was encouraging to see all these different tennis organizations in the same room, collaborating together.

3)      USPTA Florida Division Update – Trish  -  Trish hopes to see everyone at the upcoming Florida Division Convention.  We’re anticipating a record amount of USPTA Florida pro’s participating so if you haven’t registered to date, please do so.  Trish highlighted some of the great education and parties during the course of the 4 day Convention,  from June 2nd to June 5th.   Please see registration link.  Register

4)      USPTA Florida U30  Division & Convention  Update -  Jason  - To date we have roughly 65 U30’s on the team.  Please make sure that you have complied with our yearly point allocation requirement.  (12 pts per calendar year in order to qualify for financial assistance.)  Please take a look at website in order to check your point status.    www.floridau30.wix.com/uspta   If you qualify for financial assistance we will be giving out a stipend for upcoming USPTA Florida Convention.  The amount of the stipend will be determined by how many of our U30 team participate.  Stipend will be given out via check, at the conclusion of the Convention.  Stipend will be a flat fee.  Just as a reminder to all new U30 Professionals that have received their membership in the last year that rfor those new members registration for their first convention is free.   If you already have financial assistance via your club or facility, please let us know so we can utilize our budget on those members that could use the assistance.

5)      2016 World Conference Update in Indian Wells, California – Jason – Still looking at a U30 day of education on the first day of the World Conference, followed by a U30 cocktail party and 36ft Tennis Tournament.

6)      U30 Project Team Updates – Project Leaders – Jon Call of membership is still working with his team on bringing lapsed U30’s back into the fold.  Mike Baugh is asking everyone to continue to use our Social Media pages to communicate on a regular basis.  Mike also works as the liaison between our U30 National Teams.  Jessica Swanson will be working with her education team in the near future on some exciting projects.  If anyone is not on a team or is not active on a team, please contact myself or one of our U30 Project Team leaders in order to get involved.

7)      U30 National Promotional Video – Mike Baugh is working hard with his new Fiance, as it relates to putting together a National U30 Promotion Video to entice new U30’s to come into the organization and join our U30 Teams Nationwide.  Please send any video content or photo’s to Mike that have anything to do with our U30’s.  Mike will do his best to try to have something for us that we can show at our U30 Florida meeting at the Division Convention on Friday, June 3rd at 5:30 p.m.   (Thanks Mike!)

8)      Open Discussion  - Starting a National U30 Mentoring Project team consisting of a combination of Master Pro’s, U30’s and O30’s, with the goal of having a National Mentoring Plan to share with the Executive Committee at our September World Conference and ultimately implementing this by January 1st, 2017.  I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on it’s progress.   Next Meeting will be Friday, June 24th.  I’ll be sending you all an invite shortly.
